St. Joseph's College of Nursing: The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Student Application

As part of the federal government’s American Rescue Plan (ARP), the College is eligible for HEERF III supplemental funds designed to assist students in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its disruption of campus operations.

St. Joseph’s College of Nursing understands you may have incurred expenses such as any component of the cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arose due to coronavirus, such as tuition & fees, school supplies, technology (including internet access, software, computer, etc.) food, housing, healthcare (including mental health care) and/or child care.

Further, the IRS FAQs: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund and Emergency Financial Aid Grants under the CARES Act make it clear that students cannot claim any education credits or deductions, so the emergency grant amounts will not appear in Box 1 of the 1098-T.
